Pensacola is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Recently, I and my siblings had a wonderful breakfast experience at the coffee cup. The food was incredible, home cooked with a touch of Southern flare. The staff was especially kind to me as a person with a physical disability. The cooking team allowed me the opportunity to walk through the kitchen to my table. I was deeply touched by their kindness. Our server who carefully took care of us. My sister has a service dog. Without missing a Beat, the server brought a bowl of chilled water for my sister's dog Zack. I wish I could give each server and staff the highest recommendation to their owner. Incredible service, kindness so much more. Our parents used to take us to this restaurant to meet our grandparents. So after 75 years, the coffee cup is always home to every person that walks through the door of this amazing hometown landmark. So stop by have a cup of coffee, with a soft blend of home cooked scrambled eggs, in a handcrafted biscuit.

Food was decent. However, we had to wait quite sone time for biscuit n gravy. We were a group of 4. And we felt like the regulars got priority. I had to fetch the server, ask what's going on. The restaurant cleared out. No one on the grill. We're still waiting on food. So was the young couple beside us. And they ordered way before us. So I said to bring all these ladies their food, and we'll wait on biscuit n gravy. And FYI, it's sage sausage in the fresh gravy. It overpowers the effort put in the gravy. My country ham was freaky good.

Nancy awesome and a total joy to spend our morning with. The Cook made it a point to come by and greet us, which was great. Overall Wonderful experience 6 out of 5 stars. Would definitely recommend.

We were greeted at the door and had assistance to our table. Very friendly and patient personnel. The atmosphere was very inviting with quick and attentive service. I believe it was the owner who visited our table several times to offer suggestions to our meal and make certain that our food was good. The food was amazing. They serve breakfast all day. This is now one of my favorite places.

Step back in time as you visit a Pensacola staple since 1945. It still has that old school flavor and still serves diner staples with a few twist of their own. It is very popular, and seating is limited, but the wait was not long. Apparently, everything on the menu is available at any time because when joked about getting their famous onion rings for breakfast, Jennifer, our server, said no problem. We didn't get the because we were trying quite a few breakfast items, but I will definitely be back to try them. Eggs prepared any way you want, with a variety of breakfast meats from bacon to chicken tenders to beef steak. The grits were creamy and seasoned well. The coffee is good and plentiful, and the pancakes are fluffy and cake like. It's not polished but perfect. Open breakfast and lunch only and closed on Tuesday. Make your way here for the best breakfast you are liable to have at a price you can't beat.
